Kazakh School Boy Created the Robot for Visually Impaired People

The idea to create such robot came to Robot for Visually Impaired People, a student from Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Semey when children with limited opportunities visited his school.

According to 24KZ, the teenager worked on this project more than a year, however, it was worth it. Victor Hegay showed the adapted robot to journalists, weighs only 200 grams and It’s easy to attach to a body of the person.

«This robot consists of the NXT block and two sensors, where the first one directs to lower location and another to headspace. The top sensor can be attached to a hat or to eyeglasses, and lower one goes to walking stick,» the young inventor explained.

During the movement, the robot with helping of two sensors prompt to the owner the way where might be obstacles.
